Central Bank Statistics

Central Bank Statistics is the bank's weekly statistical publication containing information on the Icelandic economy. The publication consists of sets of tables in Excel format that are updated each week on the Central Bank's website as soon as the information is ready. The publication is scheduled at 16:00 GMT every Monday according to a publication schedule and each weekly publication is standardized, i.e., containing the same tables each week. The tables contain the most recent data available as well as some p/p analysis of the data. Historical data for selected series from each table is available as time-series. Access to the time-series is through a link to the right of the name of each table. A list of all the available time-series is also on the left hand border on the Time-series button. The time-series are mostly directed to the needs of those doing economic research. The time span of the time-series varies according to the data available.

As the data bank content is constantly under revision, all suggestions for improvements are appreciated. All suggestions and questions regarding the tables or time-series can be sent by e-mail.

All the material in Central Bank Statistics is free of charge but users are asked to quote the source.

Symbols used in tables

The Central Bank of Iceland also publishes news about other selected Icelandic economic indicators according to a special publication schedule.

Viewing Central Bank Statistics requires (at minimum) Excel-97, ExcelViewer or other software capable of viewing Excel files.
